The TERRACOTTA, WINE AND EVO OIL tour is an interesting experience to discover the craftsmanship and beauty of the Impruneta area. Since ancient times it has been customary in this area to make wine in terracotta pots called “Orcio”. Terracotta, an excellence of Impruneta, a small village in the sourrondings of Florence, was also used by Brunelleschi in the construction of the dome of Santa Maria del Fiore. This tour will give you the unique opportunity to visit a certified artisan terracotta kiln (C.A.T.= Artistic and Traditional Ceramics) and a local winery that continues to make wine in terracotta amphora. The tour proceeds with a visit to an ancient family-run oil mill with tasting of extra virgin olive oil accompanied by a light lunch based on typical products.
